PC Compatibility
- The launch of our MVP means you need to uninstall the old client files and re-install from our homepage to join us in-game again or use this direct download link : https://launcher.gunzlegacy.com/installer/gunz-legacy.exe
- GUNZ now operates in 64-bit, Windows 10 or 11. We no longer support 32-bit and old Windows systems.
General Improvements
- Optimized and improved game client framerate and server tick performance significantly.
- Refactored the client and server networking stack for optimized performance and reliability.
- Converted the client and server to operate under 64-Bit. 32-Bit Client support has been removed from the game entirely.
- Fixed various memory leaks present within the game client.
- The reliability of the game client patching process has been significantly improved.
- GUNZ is now completely safe and doesn’t show up as a false positive in Antivirus Software, Firewalls or Microsoft Defender.
PI / PX
- Floating Combat Text has a new look! We’ve replaced our existing floating combat text with an entirely new system that changes the color of the hit based on the damage dealt.
- Floating combat text is now disabled in Duel Tournament, Clan War, and Ladder game modes.
- Fixed an issue where any floating text element would be misaligned when playing the game on a non-standard Field of View (FOV) setting. This affected the following UI Elements
- Team HP / AP Bars, Floating Combat Text, Spymode Spy Name)

- Added Per-Monitor High-DPI support to the game.
- Fixed an issue where the FPS counter display was slightly cut off from the side of the screen.
- Improved text visibility in the game’s UI under widescreen resolutions.
- Quest and survival now correctly displays the experience and bounty reward at the end of each sector.
- Server names have been added to the server select screen, as well as your ping to the server.
- The “Chat Background” and “Chat Background Opacity” options now save and load properly.
- Corrected grammar and spelling errors in the game type stage list.
- The scoreboard once again displays experience earned or lost during a match in standard games.
- The character levels of volunteers and GG Staff are once again visible to all players.
- Truncated the amount of items displayed on login when items have expired to 5 items. Additional items will be quantified in an additional display. This fixes an issue where the game could soft lock.
- Graphical settings should instantly apply and no longer require a restart.
- Improved the click detection when selecting a server at server select.
- Added additional names for the various intensity of Map Texture settings in the Options menu. These newly named options are now sorted by intensity.
- Loading Screen Tips have been removed.
- Initial Loading Tips have been removed.
GUNZ Game Enhancements
- Implemented Borderless Windowed as a resolution option. When using this option, the game will take up the entire screen and overlap the Windows taskbar.
- Fixed various in-game effects that were visually broken, such as the level-up wings.
- The Challenge Quest Game Mode now correctly awards the correct amount of XP after each level.
- In-Game Video Recording has been removed.
- Anti-Lead is now the default option for game rooms.
- Server names have been added to the server select screen, as well as your ping to the server.
- Fixed an edge case where some types of kills and deaths were not being tracked properly on the server.
- The “/suicide” command now functions as intended, registering properly on the scoreboard and experience counters, with a reduced usage delay to 15 seconds.
- Various hair and face options that were present but not functional will now properly apply the face or hair to the character during character creation.
- Blood effects have been completely removed from the game.
- Fixed a memory leak and crash issue with our Discord rich presence integration.
- You can now use apostrophes in room names.
- Added correct error messaging when attempting to login to an account that does not exist.
- Added correct error messaging when attempting to create an account. Previously, you could see an ‘invalid username’ error when your email was instead taken.
- The Windows key can now be used while in the game to escape the program.
- Fixed an issue where mouse sensitivity would round down when inputting whole numbers into the mouse sensitivity options.
- Various maps have been removed from the game client that were either of low quality or would cause crashes on some game settings.
- Training and Team Training games now no longer have a timer on leaving the match.
- Fixed an issue where players on older 64-bit processors could not play GUNZ. If you are still having issues playing GUNZ and are on a 64-bit processor, please remove the game fully using the Add or Remove Programs option in Windows, and reinstall using the launcher.
- Removed experience loss on death. Suicides will still result in experience loss.
- The word “nomsg” will no longer display between Challenge Quest rounds.
- The hourly notice will no longer reference an invalid Discord link.
- Addressed an issue resulting in lower and dropped frames.
- Fixed a technical issue resulting in sluggish gameplay.
- Fixed a connectivity issue while using GUNZ’s NAT feature.
Website Updates
- Introduced Stripe as a payment source.
- Resolved issues with image loading on item pages in Premium and V.I.P. Shop sections.
